The weekend gets a one day extension when Fete de la Musique comes to town. Since it´s birth in Paris 1982, Berlin first had it´s own in 1995 and added one great music event to the schedule. It is a wonderful idea that more or less the whole musical muscle picks up instruments and make the city one big stage. It is very likely to run into fresh talent and die hard performers almost on every street corner today until the late night. For a rough overview there are popular places like Mauerpark, Görlitzer Park, Bar25, Stadtbad Wedding, Kaffee Burger, Fete for Kids, and classical music in Lustgarten to start. The mobile generation will find everything it needs in the Twitter Feed. But there is so much more to explore in the festival´s programm and moving around is key to a succesful day. Because as i said before it is not that one band or that one event, but the idea that there is a giant orchestra playing. So grab a tambourine and go make some noise.
