Okay, it doesn’t look like it, but the sun will definitely shine over the next few days. And with the sun along comes the age old question where to go with the kids on your free days when you don’t go away on holidays to the grandparents. Maybe you go to a crowded playground where you have to fight for a little spot on the sand with your children’s toys? Or to a popular destination in the country where it doesn’t look much better and you also have to fight for your bit of space? Both of these choices don’t sound very attractive. But, my dear Mitte-Mothers, there are some wonderful calm places in our city only known to insiders who will hate me now that I’m revealing this well kept secret. It’s the Krausnickpark in the Oranienburgerstraße 19-20, a wonderful, very green park with two playgrounds, one for the little ones and one for older children. There are some hammocks for stressed parents and rabbits for the children. The rabbits hop around or sleep peacefully in their little cages and are used to children. But the very best part of this park is the entrance that can only be opened by adults and is always shut. Close your eyes dear, the little one can’t escape this heavenly place.
