Some say that Artur Russell belongs among the most influential musicians of our time. The amrican cellist, disco producer and musician left a 1000 tapes behind when he died 1992 at 40 years in New York. His incredible versatility in musical styles, producing 12″ disco tracks side-a-side with country ballds and experimental cello soundscaspes that he enriched with his smooth voice is rare, if not unprecedented. So if you haven´t heard of Artur Russell yet, it is time to get to know him.
