Insight to the film  “Mauerpark Berlin”

For some people it’s a very exciting playground, a field for experiments and a place to feel free to try some random stuff. For others it’s “a greenhouse for all sort of things”, “a big area full of hippies”, “…a part of ourselves” or just, to be quite exact, “young, old, east, west, rich, poor”.

On the YouTube Channel of the association Mauerparkfreunde e.V. (friends of Mauerpark), you will be asked several times to “arrange Mauerpark with good ideas” in your very own way. The whole thing is a joint project of Nicole Walter, Martin Wittlich, Alexander Mayer, Fabian Mellenthin, Thomas Furlong, Matthias Gauerke und Alexander Puell, who all have the very same goal to take part in re-arranging and conserve the park. Quotation: “The Mauerpark will change over time. It is getting larger, but there may be even building sites at its boarders.”

In the playlists like „Voices of Mauerpark“, „My Mauerpark“, „Music“ and „Karaoke” several ideas and voices are being heard, all evolving around the unique and a little weird place called Mauerpark.
