No, it’s not Berlin, New Hampshire, Berlin, Connecticut, Wisconsin or Massachusetts, but Berlin, the state in good old Germany. Even though, Flickr gives us 48 results when we use the Location Search Engine for the term „Berlin“; we only care about Berlin, Berlin. And that’s right on top. You could call it the very best Berlin of all of them.

Since Yahoo introduced Flickr and came up with the function „Geotagging“, about 3 years ago, a lot has happened. Back then, already in the hour about one million pictures have been geotagged. In Berlin, there are only 566,000 picures linked with the place they have been taken. But proud owners of an iPhone have the perfect gadget, to fill in all the empty spots on the digital map of their „Kiez“. What I don’t really get is why they don’t show all, or at least some more pictures on the Flickr-map of Berlin. Instead you’ve got some random pics on the map, others are in a scrollable bar on the bottom of the page. You can sort the pictures according to ‘interesing’ and ‘recent’. Try it yourself, and experience the virtual image of your „Kiez“.
