While writing these lines, I have a couple of very delicious goodies on my desk. There is a box of self-made cookies from my grandmother, Lindt chocolate, two Santas made of chocolate and right in front me:  a bagful of walnuts that also is almost gone.

In those moments it’s just so hard to pull yourself together… Even if it’s just about going to Video Collection to rent a movie. You are at home, the heating is on (unfortunately my radiator doesn’t really work), you’ve got some nice music in your playlist and every look outside the window just reinforces your mood. How cruel.

That’s why, it is really advisable to make a list of favourite films, you might want to see over christmas. I have done the same recently and I came up with the following:  “Miracle on 34th Street” (1943), “How the Grinch stole Christmas” (1966,  animated cartoon), “‘Twas the Night before Christmas” (1974,animated cartoon), The Gift of Love: A Christmas Story (1983), A Christmas Story (1983), Elf (2003), A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa (2008), Merry Madagascar (2009, animated film)…
