The historical Christmas market of the Nikolaiviertel

On the Christmas market between Alex, Rotem Rathaus and Nikolaiviertel, there is a big wheel, historic carrousels, many different shacks, as well as a little train for children and of course the big ice rink. Even though it’s always very packed and cold, a visit of this Christmas market is just a must-do. Sometimes, of course, the quiet and exclusive atmosphere of the Christmas market on Gendarmenmarkt is very inviting, too, but I feel that also the restless crowd can get you into the right state of mind for Christmas in a way.

Up until the 28th of December the Christmas market will be opened between 10am – 10pm. Only on Christmas Eve everything will close down at 2pm.
