Would love to nick this poster. But it’s always so well plastered there’s no point in even trying. German band Moderat, the grandiose joint venture of Aparat and Modeselektor, are set to play in the Astra community center in November. A reflection of how well this venue is attracting talent. So whoever’s been following this, should slowly be realizing that Astra isn’t just a brand of beer but a location for good music!

In the short time that Astra has existed at Revaler Strasse 99, the Levi’s Unbuttoned Party has blasted off here and even Erlend Oeyes Whitest Boy Alive performed.  Looking ahead: The concerts for Kettcar and 30 Seconds to Mars are – alas – already both sold out.  In November you can buy tickets for Yo La Tengo, and the ladies Tegan and Sara and the aforementioned gentlemen of Moderat. The year will slowly fade out with The Notwist. But `09 ain’t over yet. See you in the front row!
